My mother, sisters, and me

When I was six years old my father traveled to the US. We four girls stayed living with my mother, I being the oldest of the four. My father forgot about us and due to difficulties, my mother also traveled to the US when I was just eleven years of age.

We lived with my grandmother, then alone. My mother always fought so that all her daughters could come to the United States. My sisters and I were always very close, we took care of each other and protected each other, we were very responsible girls.

My mother was legalized after many years and brought my sisters to the US. I stayed in Ecuador because I already had a child. The years went by and I came with my son in September 2018. Now we are here trying to adapt, but we have our family together, and we are happy to be able to share all together.

I love reunions where there is a lot of laughter and we all cook and share moments. I love to see us in this photograph, mother and daughters, finally all reunited.
