Long ago, my grandfather was a musician playing his instrument for the people in the Mexico streets. People loved his music and paid him, making a huge amount of money. He even built his own house just for his family. Then my grandmother gave birth to my dad in 1986 in Oaxaca, Mexico. A couple years ago, my grandfather found out that he was going to have a granddaughter. He wanted to make a gift for me by making a family's pendant. But then, he started to get sick because of his age but that didn't let him from finishing the family's pendant. Couple of weeks, my grandfather had finally finished his family pendant just for me and my parents but his sickness wasn’t getting any better than he thought so he decided to take a rest home. But then, one day he collapsed to the floor. As the doctors rushed up to the hospital to help him in order for him to survive but it was already too late. He passed away before I was even born, so I never knew my grandfather. 

When I was 4 years old, a package from my grandfather came but it was strange because my dad didn't really mention his dad. After I opened the package, I found a necklace, a family's pendant. A necklace with a diamond heart in the middle. It was for me that when I look at my family's pendant, it will always remind me about him. This pendant was for to honor my grandfather. Till this day, I still have my family's pendant, and I will always wear it to honor my grandfather. That’s why I chose my family's pendant as my object.
