I watched a video by Joe Ide, and his object was his grandpa's samurai sword. My object is my dad's violin. Dad got his violin in second grade in St. Louis, Missouri where he grew up, and has had it for 35 years. I asked my dad about it and he said it is about 150 years old! This violin is really special to my family because it symbolizes home and love. Music is a big part of what brings my family and relatives together. Dad likes to play it on evenings after dinner, the sound is so special to all of us and he plays it pretty well for not practicing in a while. No one except my dad plays the violin in our family, but it will always be special to all of us no matter what.
