My culture's food

Morir Sonando

Food is a big part of my Dominican culture. Two foods/drinks that represent my culture are los tres golpe and mori sonando. Los Tres Golpes is a traditional Dominican breakfast made with mangú, salami, eggs, and cheese. Many Dominican families eat it together, especially for breakfast or on special days. Morir Soñando is a popular Dominican drink made with orange juice , milk, sugar, and ice. These foods are important to me because they remind me of my family, my home, and where my culture comes from. My family has shared these foods with me, and I hope I can continue making them as I get older. They help keep Dominican traditions alive and allow us to share our culture with other people. They also show how Dominican traditions are passed down from parents and grandparents to younger generations. I am proud of these traditions because they are a part of my identity as a Dominican. Even when Dominican families move to other countries Many Dominican families enjoy this meal together, especially in the morning or on special days. It is a meal that reminds me of family because we can all sit together, eat, and talk.
