It's the most emotional birthday gift I've received, its cover is made of black leather, one of those that you know will last a lifetime. Its size is perfect, just enough to fit in one of my small hands, or it can go with me in my carry-on. Its interior is soft and delicate, it's bordered with a cardinal red color, that makes it look sacred. Inside it keeps other little memories and objects, which have been arriving there, because it's my place of importance and that I'll never lose.
It came into my life 23 years ago from the hands of my Mother, and I'm not talking about the woman who gave life, but about an extraordinary woman that destiny put on the road. It was a completely unexpected gift, not only for what it is, but for how prescient it turned out to be. When she gave it to me, she told me: "It's for you to take with you on all your trips, because I know there will be many." At that time, I was a simple village boy who had only traveled once to the capital. But I turned those words into one of my purposes. Traveling became my passion! That's why my "Travel Bible" has gone with me to three continents, more than twenty countries, not counting their cities. It was my impulse to open my wings, to fly, and emigrate.
