mini pan
My object is a mini pan. My grandma from my mothers side gave it to me for my birthday around 2016. When I lived in the Philippines, I used to always cook pancakes for breakfast for my family. My grandma saw me cook and would sometimes help me. I felt like I was a clumsy person. We would sometimes cook together, and my grandma would often tell me to go away because I kept making a mess. My aunts would also see me cook pancakes or hotdogs for breakfast for everyone. My grandma lived in the Philippines for I think her entire life in a province called Abra. Then she moved to Bagiuo, where some of my relatives still stay to this day. This object is really special to me because a year or two later, before she passed away, she gave me the mini pan before I left to come back to the United States. When I was in the States, I used the pan for cooking pancakes, fried eggs, and more. The pan also came with a note saying “happy birthday”. I don’t use it as often as I used to, but I sometimes use the pan to cook small portions of food. Although the object is small, it is important not only for me but also to my mom. My mom really loves to cook and she would also sometimes use the mini pan when she is cooking. The pan reminded me of all the memories I had with my grandma and the memories I had while living in the Philippines for about 2 years.
