Military photo
This is a story about my grandfather, his picture that is in my room, and how he is important to me. His name is Curtis Ray Jackson and he was born November 25, 1946 and he died November 27, 1978 which is when my dad was only 2 years old. His picture hangs on my wall in my room and he is from my dad’s side of the family. It came from my dad when he was given it to him from his mom. When my dad gave me the picture he told me is was my grandfather’s military picture when he was in the army. This object is important to me because it reminds me of him and his service to our country. This object is also important to me because it reminds me of all veterans and to honor them. This connects to me because he is from my dad’s side of the family. I also got to meet his brothers and sisters when I was younger. Things that are related to this subject would be Leukemia because this is how he died and the flag that was draped over his coffin when he died.
