My object is a dress from Guatemala. We wear the dress on special occasions. It is soft with bright colors. My mom brought it from Guatemala because she wanted to bring the traditions of wearing the dress from Guatemala to America. 
My Grandma makes these dresses by hand.  Even today she lives in Guatemala.  They can take a long time to make like 5 days. Then my Grandma sends them to us.
There is one special dress that my grandmother made that was passed down to my mother then to me. The dress is purple with shiny silver designs. That is the one I like to wear on Christmas.
