Mezuzah
My object is a MEZUZAH, in hebrew it means doorpost. I chose this object because my family is jewish. The MEZUZAH recognizes a jewish home, and is a clear sign and symbol to all those who enter that a sense of jewish identity and commitment exist it that household. The MEZUZAH is a reminder that our homes are holy places and that we should act appropriately-when we enter , and when we leave. The MEZUZAH is put on every doorpost in the home except for the bathroom. A MEZUZAH has a piece of parchment called a KLAF contained in a decorative case and the KLAF has specific hebrew verses from the torah. The MEZUZAH is important to me because it is apart of my religion and It tells me that I should act appropriately and respectfully anywhere I go.
