Mexicana
This is the picture of a little girl who was born in Michoacan, Mexico. This is me when I was a couple of months old. This picture was taken at my grandma's house. I lived in Mexico for 5 years then I was brought to the United States by my parents in 1996. Who knew that my life was going to change from living in a rancho to coming and living in a city where I was going to learn another language. Being an immigrant had its obstacles and as a young girl I knew nothing. I thought I was the same as everyone else in my classrooms. Luckily things have changed in a good way and now I am on my way to get my U.S citizenship. I will always be proud to be a Mexicana. I learn to not take things for granted. Everything that I went through has taught me to appreciate what I have in life.
