Menorah
About 70 years ago my great grandfather had a brass factory and he loved to bring home things that he made there. One day he came home from work and showed his family the menorah that he had made at the brass factory. My grandfather loved the menorah so much and he sometimes would just sit at the table with the menorah and play with the star of David on top of it. When I was talking to him about and I showed him the menorah the first thing he said was “I remember playing with the star of David on top of it when I was a kid. Hearing this story from my Grandfather made me feel more connected to my past and to my grandfather and great grandfather. It is important to hear stories from our family members so that we feel connected to them even when they are gone. This menorah was made 65 years ago and has been passed down three generations but no matter how long it has been or how many places it has gone it still connects me to my ancestors
