"Memories" by Henry Stern
"Memories" by Henry Stern was written by my mother's opa (that's German for grandfather) in the 1980's. The book is a story of his life and his family's life. "Memories" is a private book, there are only six copies! "Memories" is not complete because my mother's opa died before the book was complete. The last chapter of the book is called "America." The very end of the book is about how my mother's opa and his family were granted citizenship along with a few thousand others in Ebbets Field in 1955. "Memories" also includes stories from when my mother's opa and his family were Holocaust prisoners. They were among the few that survived.
