Matzo Ball Soup

Matzo Ball has been important in my family for many generations. It's eaten on all the holidays at my cousin’s house. My great grandmother started cooking this recipe when there were Jewish holidays. So, the recipe got passed down to my mom and now she uses it. My mom makes this tradition happen. Although my mom got the original recipe, she improved it. Even though we have Matzo Ball soup at every holiday, the main holiday that I think of Matzo Ball soup is Rosh Hashanah because that is the first holiday my family goes to my cousin’s house for the holidays after summer. This object connects to my culture because it is a Jewish food. My family is not very religious so this object is one of the things that connect us to our culture. This recipe has been passed down for generations since one of my ancestors came from Romania. Matzo Ball soup is important to me because it reminds me of family members I have lost and family members who are still with me.
