Maple syrup
My object is called maple syrup. Maple syrup is the candaian symbol, and over 80% of maple syrup is produced in Canada where my family is from. Most people like to use Maple syrup as a topping on something like pancakes. Everytime me and my family go to visit my grandparents who currently live in montreal canada, me and my grandma get more maple syrup. My grandparents have been buying maple syrup for over 40 years, and have over 350 unopened bottles displayed in the front of their home for everyone to see. My grandparents never really open the bottles of syrup to use however whenever I go to visit them, it's always a tradition to go and buy a new bottle and decorate it our own way. This is important to me because it reminds me how much I enjoy canada and in a way acts as a symbol of my grandparents since i don't see them very often. This object represents where my mom is from and how its my favorite place to be. Two years ago I visited the Knox factory which is where the maple syrup is produced and we got to make our own maple syrup and learned how to sweeten it and mix the syrup. Collecting Maple syrup in my grandparents house will always be a tradition there and I can't wait until im back to collect more with them
