My object is a mango. Mangoes originated in India over 4,000 years ago and are considered a sacred fruit. I used to buy a lot in my home country, Dominican Republic and eat it with my whole family almost everyday. But each year, National mango day is observed on July 22 to celebrate the fruit. During that day my whole family buys up to one hundred mangoes. First my family and I wash the mangoes carefully and then we peel them and finally we eat this delicious fruit. It connected to my identity because it is a important fruit to my country and this object is important to me because it represent where i came from and my family.
