Maca
My great grandma, Maca, is from Puerto Rico. She loves one Puerto Rican drink call conquito. She made it her own special way because the regular Puerto Rican drink conquito was an alcoholic drink in Puerto Rico, but Maca did not like alcohol, so she made it her own way. And when I say her own way, that means she made conquito without alcohol and made it a non-alcoholic drink, so she could drink it, because she loved the taste of it. She thought it was magnificent. One of the reasons she made it a non-alcoholic drink was so she could share it with children and other people like cousins, relatives, friends, any others she knew. Maca thought that when she made a different conquito, a non-alcoholic conquito she thought that recipe was her own now. Conquito is a brown, smoothie kind of drink. From other people’s perspective, they thought it was great. Maca especially loved the drink. All I can say is that it looked pretty good and I bet it was. Conquito has been passed down for a few generations. Maca, who made the non-alcoholic version of the drink wanted her family to have the best tasting drink from Puerto Rico, even though she made it her own special way.
