loi(punjabi shawl)
The object that I chose is a loi. A Loi is a thick and sometimes light woolen shawl mainly worn by Punjabi men in the winter, but sometimes women also wear it. A loi is a handmade wool-spun yarn. My Loi is plain white, and I wear it every morning. My Loi is special to me because it belonged to my father. It is important because it reminds me of my father and that he'll always be there for me. My father used to wear it while my family and I ate breakfast, right before leaving for work, and sometimes after work. When I wear the Loi, I feel a connection to my father, even if he's not there in the present moment.
Wearing a Loi connects me to my family through their love and my father's hard work, which reminds me that he´ll always be there for me.
