Above I have shared the a picture from the book my mom gave me.  The title of the book is Lands And Peoples Volume 1: British Isles and Western Europe.  From what I have been told many of our ancestry comes from different parts of Europe.  My mom gave me this book a few years back, and I think she found it at a thrift store.  One of the first things you see when you open the book, and one of my favorite images to look at in the book, is the map of the world.  Looking at maps makes me think of how close and how far we are from one another.  While there are many miles that separate us from other lands and other cultures, and yet we still find ourselves traveling miles and miles in the search of safety, new beginnings, adventure, etc.
