My family celebrating Kwanza

Kwanza is so important to my family because it's like our second Thanksgiving. It shows where our roots come from and how we are all thankful for being in this world. When it's kwanzaa we do different activities such as secret santa, games, and also how we have achieved our goal throughout the year.  Also we sing songs, pray and then write something that we want to let go for the year and enter the new year with nothing negative. We burn all the notes in a pot then say  “Sadaqa”. We also have a big feast with all our favorite foods. Last of all we all wear all black with a green, red, and black bandana to Symbolize when kwanzaa first started.
