Basketball is a sport intended to play for fun, but over the years it has turned into a competition like sport. Basketball was invented in the United States. Basketball is not a very popular sport in my country, Bangladesh. I only discovered basketball because I immigrated to the United States. When I went to the first school in the United States in New York City, I saw students playing basketball in the court. I was very fascinated and got interested in playing basketball. I didn’t know any rules, history or about the leagues back then. Now in high school I started getting better at basketball. My expectation raised to a very high point for myself. I wanted to reach my expectation that I set for myself. I learned that it is a very physical and mental sport. You're either at the top and you’re noticed or you’re at the bottom and you’re ignored. I learned basketball is a game where no-one person could be the best. It is a team sport and you should always play basketball for fun and not as an intense competition. That is the story of me a person who never heard of basketball discovering it and making the sport a small part of my life.
