Kente is a huge part of my culture because it reflects specific cultural heritage, climates and a person’s identity. Kente connects to music , tradition, and festivals only in Ghana. It is a bright, hand-woven fabric from Ghana by the Asante and Ewe people. Kente cloth is traditionally worn during major life milestones, royal functions, and important cultural events or political ceremonies. Kente cloth is so special because it’s a hand-woven masterpiece that carries deep historical, royal and symbolic meanings rooted in Ghana. People even in other countries but from Ghana bring these clothes to their new country to keep our culture and tradition alive.              Lastly, the  Kente cloth is a profound cultural symbol that bridges ancestral wisdom, Ghanaian heritage, and modern global identity. It is far more than a vibrant textile but a unifying emblem of African heritage. This cloth is important to me because it describes and shows where I am from, who I am and what my identity is. I love this cloth because of its bright colors and meaning that describes me as a Ghanaian. However this is a profound symbol that bridges Ghanaian history. These patterns on the cloth also have their own meaning which makes it
beautiful.
