Kasha
I always knew about my dad's side of the family but my mom's side we didn't really talk about in my family. One day, about four weeks ago, I asked my mom and she said that I am Jewish. I wondered what my ancestors ate and how they lived with the struggles of every day life. I thought I still didn't know a lot about my mom's side of the family. My mom said something that my ancestors ate was called kasha. Kasha can be made out of buckwheat, barley, or rice. Even though I am Jewish, my grandpa did not pass down any Jewish holidays or any activities to my mom when she was a kid so she couldn't pass down anything to my brother and me.
