Joshua 24:15 Picture
My family comes from a catholic line. However, we are now a Christian family, let me explain how. My siblings were all born in America, but my parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents were born in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. Before my grandparents were born, Congo was introduced to Catholicism by missionaries in Europe. My great grandparents sent my grandma to a catholic school and furthermore, my grandma showed and taught all her nine children catholicism. Although, when he came to America he was introduced to Christianity. He is now teaching us how to be Christians and spread our light. The object is from a target, my Dad bought it after he decided to make it our family slogan. It is used as a reference to how we should live our lives. One day, He all told us to come around the living room to show us this. He said to live by it and teach our children the same thing and they will be successful. We connect Easter and Christmas to this object because they are both monumental moments in our Christianity. Christmas is when Jesus was born, and Easter is when he rose again on the third day. Lastly, This object is the reason my character is the way it is. I work hard because of this. It created a new culture of Christianity in our family. My father has now made it our family slogan that says “ For me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15, This will be passed through many generations of our family. My family will not go astray, and it will be the same for my children’s family.
