When I was 5 in Venezuela, my father and mother worked and I had to stay with my grandfather. And every morning, to wake me up early, he would play regional songs from my city of Maracaibo called gaitas.Gaitas are heard much more at Christmas. They are typical with a Christmas dance rhythm with very regional instruments, for example, drums, guitars, maracas, flutes. At Christmas, they are heard in all the houses, shops, and stores. From hearing them so much and at Christmas they were the only thing that was heard in my house, I learned them and when I listen to them now, after a long time, they transport me to those moments that I spent with friends, neighbors, relatives.
