My object isn’t an object it’s food and it’s called Mole (mo-l-eh) , Mole comes from Mexico. It’s usually made on special occasions like Cinco de Mayo, birthdays, and religious reasons. Many people make mole, but it’s mostly know in Mexico . There are two recipes to make mole, but the one everyone knows is mole poblano. The other one is just plain old spicy .
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE MOLE POBLANO
1 dried pasilla chile, seeded and chopped (reserve the seeds)
2 chipotles in adobo, seeded and chopped
1 cup cooked black beans
1 ounce dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup almonds, toasted
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups chicken stock
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
2 shallots, peeled and coarsely chopped (about 1/3 cup
I choose to write about mole because one it’s my favorite type of food. I mostly choose this because mole was the very first type of Mexican food I ever tried . This taught teaches about my Mexican heritage .
My grandma who taught her how to make mole. When I eat it reminds me of her. This just so you know in my opinion spicy mole is better, but not everyone likes spicy food.
