Italian Bracelet
My great grandpa, who is 90 years old, bought this bracelet for his sister(Eleanor) when he was in Italy. He lied about is age(17) so he could join the Merchant Marines. His mom died when he was very young, and his father left him and his 3 siblings with different relatives. He only went to school till 8th grade and half or so of 9th, because he had to work. All his life he worked hard, so hard that he wanted to join a form of US service before he even had to. Time passed and his sister told him that he should give it to one of his three daughters. My grandma, the youngest, got it. One day, one of my aunts will get, and so, on and so on. My favorite thing this bracelet represents to me is exploring and getting to see the world.
(The writing is my great grandma's.)
