Inlay Bear Bolo Tie
While this particular bolo tie does not hold much significance to my family, the bolo tie in general does. My mother's side of the family is Native American, so Native American jewelry is important to us. This particular bolo tie was actually bought from a jewelry maker on a reservation in Arizona. Jewelry like this reminds us of what our ancestors went through, and what they accomplished. Native Americans were treated extremely poorly for most of US history, and even today, they are hardly treated fairly, but it is comforting to see that they can still be successful. Jewelry making is an incredibly popular trade among Native Americans, which is boosted even more so by the unique nature of their culture leading to different styles of jewelry.
