My artifact is from the country of my parents. It is an Indian flag. The colors are saffron, white, and Indian green. It has a twenty-four spoke wheel in the center of the flag. The flag by law is to be made of khadi, a special type of hand-spun cloth, or silk made popular by Mahatma Ghandi. My mother and father are both from India. My father came from the Northern part of India and my mother is from an area of India that is central to the capital. My father came to the United State in 1995 when he was 23 years old. He came to get a job in computer science. My mother came in 2002 and she was 34 years old. I feel very proud to be an Indian and feel that my country is known for many things. It is known for our great mathematicians, yoga, Bollywood, and our fine spices.
