This is my extended family.

I came to America in November 2022.  I felt happy because my daughter was going to graduate in December 2022 in Business Administration at HOFSTRA University of NY. After my daughter’s graduation, I went back to Haiti, but with the insecurity in Haiti, I had to stay  in the USA.  So, I took the opportunity to study English and looked for job opportunities.
I left my husband, my grand sister, my brother, my work, my friends, and my nieces and nephews.  Also, I left my house and other important things. I miss them because when I  was in Haiti, I spent some time with my family. We already had dinner together, and every Sunday we went to church, visited friends and grandparents, and went to the restaurant or to the beach.
Unfortunately, while I was here my brother died and I didn't assist in his funeral because it was very difficult to go to Haiti. His departure made me very sad, but I know that God will comfort me.
