My object are gold hoop earrings. My grandpa gave them to my mom, unfortunately, I wasn’t  able to meet him. However, what I’ve heard Is that he was a lovely, funny man. So my mom gave those earrings to me. They are gold in color and thin.
These earrings are very special to me, but not just me, mainly my mom. This is important to us because my grandpa didn’t  get my mom a lot of jewelry. It's very important to keep them safe. I feel good and happy when I wear them, because I feel connected with my grandpa, even though I’ve never met him. These earrings have been passed down to my mom and then me, and I will follow this chain lasting.
Sometimes I wear these earrings to school. I like to think that my grandpa is hanging out in school with me. I always check to see if they are still on because I’d be devastated if anything were to happen to them.
