homemade clothes
My Father’s side of the family was born in Columbia. My grandmother (his mom) has showed me many things from when he was young and living there. They lived with what they had. My grandmother had to make all his clothes until he was about seven years old. My grandmother came to visit and gave me one of the outfits she made for him. She made him shirts, pants, shoes, and blankets. It is important to me because it reminds me of the simple life they used to have and shows how much of a hardworking, independent woman my grandmother was. Here in America people take lots of things for granted! It’s crazy how different things used to be and how much more appreciative people were or have to be in other countries.
