My artifact is a handkerchief that was passed down to mother from my great great grandmother Lola Lugo who knitted it herself. It is a small cloth that has colorful edges that are made out of cotton. This artifact means a lot to my mother because it has been passed down 4 generations, from My great great grandmother, to my great grandmother, to my grandfather, and finally my mother. it comes from Puerto Rico which is where my mother's family originates from. When I ask my mother who her biggest inspiration is she always says her father, and she always tells me his encouraging story.
