Hanbok
Hanbok is the traditional clothing for South Koreans. Historically, it was the attire that people dressed in but nowadays you won't find people wearing hanbok except for important events like weddings and first birthdays. This is my father's hanbok. He got it as a gift from my grandma when he married my mother and had me. He only wore it one time for my first ever birthday which is a big event in Korean culture. Ever since then, it has been collecting dust in our closet. Hopefully, my father can wear it again in my future wedding (I hope) and then it will be passed down to me. Hanbok is a symbol of my identity. It reminds me of my roots and instills in me a pride for who I am. Also, it is a beautiful piece of clothing.
