Hamsa
My object is a Hamsa. In Judaism, it is the hand of God. In Hebrew God is Adonai. They often carry a Hebrew blessings on it.
The reason it has an eye on it is because it is the eye of God watching over you, your home and your family protecting you from harm. It is mostly made of metal but it can also be made out of wood or sometimes plastic. It has designs on it and sometimes some colors.
My family is all Jewish. We are mostly from Eastern Europe. We escaped for religious freedom. You can wear Hamsas as earrings, necklaces bracelets or hang them up on a wall for decoration. My Hamsa is important because it reminds my family that we are Jewish, God is protecting us, and to be loyal to God. The symbol and my object is important to me and my family.
