The hajr al aswad is a rock inside the kabba in Mecca. It's a black rock that was sent down from heaven in the time of Adam and Eve.Muslims don't worship the Rock they are worshiping Allah the one who created them.The significance of the black rock is that it holds immense spiritual and historical importance for muslims world wide. The rock used to be white but it changed because of people's sins so now it's a black rock. The object is connected to me because I am a muslim who believes in this object that it came from the heavens.  When it was brung down from the heaven it was given to prophet Ibrahim pbuh(peace be upon him) and he and his son made and placed the kabba. It is not a single solid rock today. Centuries of damage, wear, and historical theft have broken it into small fragments. These pieces are held together by a protective frame made of dark reddish-brown and encased in pure silver A big lesson you can learn about the Hajr Al Aswad if you observe is that the Prophet Muslims touch, kiss, or wave at the stone only because Prophet Muhammad did so, following his tradition without worshipping the stone itself. Pure Monotheism The stone has no independent power to harm or benefit anyonepower belongs to God alone.
