My great-great grandmother’s Bible was read by her every day. She was born in 1890 and received the Bible when she was 67 years old.  She loved it and put information about marriages, deaths, and births in it. When she passed away, it was given to my great grandma. She continued the tradition continuing to record information and to read it every day. Next, my grandma was given it. She also continued recording family information. It is now in the hands of my mom who recently recorded my great grandma’s death in it. It sits on the top of a shelf in our house waiting to be passed on to its next heir. It can’t be read anymore because of its poor condition, but it’s still a big part of my family’s history.
