I come from a family of musicians. My mother plays the piano, and my sisters and I play the guitar. when I was 15, I came downstairs to our living room and told my mother I wanted to learn how to play the guitar like my sisters did before me. I don't know why I wanted to at first, because I had mostly spent my time playing the drums, but something in me wanted to play the guitar. My mother heard me, and the next day called me downstairs and gave me one of her guitars. It was red with a pearl white outline, and I loved it. I would always have my guitar with me wherever I went. To my surprise, I learned very fast how to play. Perhaps its was that I just loved it. I played that guitar for so long that some days my fingers would bleed, and I would have to slap a band-aid on them and keep playing. It has been about 3 years since I started playing, and I still love it. I am most thankful to my mom for giving me my guitar and for all the support I was given in playing.
