Grilled Pork Salad
Grilled Pork Salad/Bun Thit’ Nuong
My special object is a recipe from Vietnam. It’s called bun thit’ nuong or grilled pork salad. My family usually makes and eats it four to five times a year. It has a lot of ingredients! Each region of Vietnam has its own version but all of them are very similar. It’s from my mom side of the family. My country has of kinds of foods, like pho’, but this for my family is easy to make and tastes amazing. I wish I could ask my ancestors how old this recipe really is. Here are the main ingredients ( not all ingredients but the main ingreidents you can taste in the dish ) : - pork shoulder -2 tablespoon soy sauce -fresh vegetables -1\2 cup crushed roasted peanuts-3 tablespoon garlic minced - pickled daikon & carrots -1 tablespoon sugar.
You can find all the ingredients and recipe online. I hope you enjoyed learning about a food that is close to my family’s heart and culture.
