Grandpas BBQ
My father and his father have always made BBQ at all of our family events and for their work its really cool to see them do. My Grandpa always does it with his brother Charlie and brother-in-law Wayne and usually my father Tony and his brother Uncle Mike. It usually takes 24 hours for the cooker we have to actually fully cook the barbeque all the way and keep it tender and juicy at the same time. Usually these events start with me and my dad going over to my Grandpas house with the trailer so we can actually load the cooker onto it and get it where we need to go because we always cook it at the place either in the shop or just in the back yard of whoever's house we are doing the event at. Cooking the barbeque is always a very quite event everyone's just sitting around talking about how things are going and what they have been up to while waiting for the event on the next day and its just a good time to sit down and have conversations with my Grandpa and great uncles that I usually didn't do. It helps me get to know them better and see what their childhoods were like and all the interesting and crazy stories they have to tell and the funny stories he has about my dad when he was growing up and all the dumb stuff he did as a child. Overall its a very fun and overall great bonding tradition between the family generations.
