This necklace represents my grandfather, the love, and all the memories we made together. It has become so special to me and just remembering the way I got the necklace is quite funny. It was a normal day and as usual, I would be visiting my grandpa’s house. I remember I was with my older brother and we went to ask our grandpa to see if we could go get some chips. He was like “absolutely, here you go” little did he know, he handed me 100 Colombian pesos which would be like $30 in the U.S. at that moment it was a lot of money though he didn’t care much about it and he just gave it to me. What I did was take the money and keep it in my fist. Although my mom, my dad, and my brother tried to take the money from me because I was just 4 years old, I wouldn’t let go and my hand just stayed in a fist. So what my parents decided was to make a necklace out of the money my grandpa gave me. That’s how I got this precious necklace and precious memory.
