These are my grandmother's pearl earrings. She would wear them only on special occasions like when it was a holiday or someone's birthday. She originally got the earrings from South Carolina and they were one of the few things she took with her while moving to Virginia in the 1940’s. I always loved the earrings because they were so shiny and pretty. I admired them very much and when she wore them she always looked so beautiful. When she passed she gave the earrings to me but I can never wear them. They bring back memories of laughter and peace when I was a child and help me deal with her passing. It can be the smallest things that bring back the fondest memories anything is meaningful when they have good memories behind it
