My family culture is from Puerto Rico. Most people in my family were born in America. My family follows some Spanish traditions. My grandma and grandpa were born in Puerto Rico. They came to the United States when they were 2 years old. They aren’t considered immigrants though. My mom’s friend was born in Jamaica. She is an immigrant. She came to the United States when she was little and doesn’t remember the process. This tells me that some immigrants don’t know how they got the United States. It is important to tell stories of immigrants that don’t know the experience because others can tell them what they went through.
