Sometimes small things have more value than expensive things, for example my grandfather’s shoes. My grandfather died in 1971 during the brutal war between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the war was for Bangladesh’s independence. In 1971, my father and his brother were too young to fight for their country’s independence, but my grandfather did, He died to save his country. During the war my family lost everything except for my grandfather’s shoes. So, to honor the memory of my grandfather, we still keep our grandfather’s shoes with us in our house in New York because the shoes represent our love for him and for our country.
