My grandfather enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969, and did so with one of his many goals being to see the world. During his time in the United States Navy, he saw multiple deployments on an aircraft carrier, and eventually went on to become an accomplished Naval Recruiter. After his recruiting career, he retired. During his travels, my grandfather had a hobby that was collecting somewhat decorative daggers and swords from the places he was taken to commemorate his time there, with these three being a part of that collection. He passed away in 2017, and my family was given permission to bring home a small portion of that collection to remember him by. These hold significance to my family because they serve as a physical memory of my grandfather and his life.
