Golden Chain and Ruby
The golden chain given to me by my dad has been given to him as a gift by my grandmother from my moms for their marriage. The chain is made out of 22 karat gold, and they use 22 karat gold because it won't break as easily as 24 karat gold and is more durable. Firstly, the chain was made in India and my parents kept it in safe keeping for me, the ruby on the chain is also from India.Secondly, the chain was given to me as a tradition and it will be passed down through generations. Next, in Hindu culture different stones could represent different traits and those good traits represented by each stone will eventually be reflected into you. For example, I have a ruby on my chain and the rubies traits are to keep you more focused. My parents got me the ruby to keep me focused on school and less distracted on things they say that wont help me in life. My dad had a similar chain with a similar stone to also help him become more focused. Although my dad gave me the chain and ruby to wear , I really never wore it because I really never thought it did anything. In summary, the chain holds a lot of value within me and my family, and it will vanish from our sights.
