The object that has given me comfort throughout these times is a gold bracelet. It has the letter “C” on it in cursive. It was given to me by my grandmother when I was a baby, which is why it is so small. Even though I do not wear it anymore there is much value in it. Before my grandmother passed away she gave me many objects to remember her by, such as pins, necklaces, and bracelets. However, this bracelet was my most favorite object. It was the very first thing she gave to me and I used to wear it all the time. Now I keep it on my nightstand to remember her. During quarantine, this object has given me comfort because it feels like she is here with me spiritually and looking down on me and my family. Sometimes when there is doubt during this, I pray with the bracelet in my hand. It feels like she is really listening and giving me hope, assuring me that everything will be okay.
