This is a fancy shirt that people wear on very special occasions. This can be worn at a wedding or it can be worn at an important time. It is 100% cotton and hand-made. It doesn't have to be white, but it has different traditional colors, as well as others. It shows the culture's important outfit. My dad's brother offered this to my dad as a gift because there was a big annual gathering for their village. Later on, my dad immigrated from Mali, my dad's country of origin. he later met my mom who came from Cote d'Ivoire in the city where they had me. I found it interesting how my parents had something like this, and it could come in multiple forms. it is a part of Malian culture and attire.
