German Incense burner
My Great Grandmother passed this burner down to her daughter, then to my mom. During special occasions, my mom would burn a small incense cone for good luck. Every time I smell the incense, or see the smoke pouring from the little holes, I’m reminded of home, and my grandparents’ house. My great grandma immigrated here to escape Nazi Germany, and to refuge somewhere with lots of jobs, and just more appealing. I’m reminded each time of the journey her family fought for a better life, so that my Great Grandmother could thrive. This burner is one of the few things I have that holds this many memories and experiences tied to it
