Although these mashed Potatoes have very simple ingredients, they are my cousin and I favorite thing to eat during the holidays and have been at every family gathering for as long as i can remember. This recipe came from my great grandmother in the early nineteen hundreds and was passed down to my memaw then to my mom and now i have it. My great grandma came up with this recipe when she had just moved out of her mothers house and was learning how to cook on her own. Ever since that day we have had these mashed potato's all the time and i plan to continue the tradition.
