My object is gold plated four leaf clover. In Irish culture, four leaf clovers are said to be seen as a lucky charm, or used as a talisman. This family heirloom represents my heritage and my ancestors immigration from Ireland. When my family immigrated to America, they landed in the Virginia/North Carolina area. My great-grandmother, Louise McBride moved to Los Angeles California from High Point, NC in the 1960s to be with her son (my mother’s father), daughter and son-in-law who had relocated there. My mother’s family was raised in San Diego California. She received this four-leaf clover heirloom from her grandma in 1986 and it displayed in our home. As a family, we visited Ireland and Scotland to revisit our roots and connect with our bloodline.
